How Benchmarq uses AI
The Benchmarq audit engine does not use AI to run its core assessments. Tests are executed against established web standards, best practices, and weighted scoring rules — deterministic and auditable by design.
A small number of tests in the premium tier query third-party AI providers directly to measure how your brand is cited in AI-generated answers. These tests are clearly marked in your report.
Third-party AI providers
Premium citation tests may interact with external AI systems including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude. Benchmarq does not send personally identifiable information to these providers. Queries consist of domain-level prompts only.
No automated decision-making
Benchmarq does not make automated decisions about individuals. Reports and scores are informational tools intended to support human decision-making by marketing, engineering, and technology teams.
Human oversight
All benchmark rules, scoring weights, and test criteria are defined, reviewed, and maintained by the Benchmarq team. No scoring logic is delegated to AI systems.
